About Alex Johnson

Alex Johnson has over twenty years of professional and competitive climbing experience. She has been passionate about providing professional-level coaching and instruction since 2011 through youth and adult clinics, national training camps, private lessons, assistant coaching, and as a full-time head coach.

With unparalleled personal competition experience spanning over two decades, from youth locals to winning multiple World Cup golds, you can expect advanced competitive strategies, in-depth movement analysis, mindset preparation, and instruction on a vast variety of climbing moves, techniques, and training tactics.

Alex has cultivated a well-rounded tick list of outdoor sends up to V14 and 5.14. She is intimately familiar with the ins and outs of outdoor projecting, accessing the flow state for max effort attempts, and the intricacies of subtle movement on rock.

Alex has worked with climbers aged 10 to 40+. From Youth National Champions, World Cup competitors, and Olympians, to weekend warriors getting after their outdoor projects.

Whether you’re a youth athlete with goals for Nationals, trying to break through a plateau, or wanting to push the limits of what you’re capable of on rock, Alex uses experience, knowledge, and connection to push you to be the best athlete you can be both physically and mentally.

The goal of DELPHI is to provide committed, quality, one-on-one coaching that mentors, instructs, encourages, and inspires. This is achieved through developing personal, long-term relationships with a deep understanding of what each athlete needs, and how they learn.

Due to the highly invested process of fostering interpersonal coach-athlete relationships, spots for the recurring monthly programs are limited and athletes are added selectively.

Individual training plans and virtual sessions can be booked separately and are open to all types of climbers of any age or ability!
