About Alex Johnson
Alex Johnson brings over twenty years of professional and competitive climbing experience. Since 2011, she’s been passionate about coaching, offering professional-level instruction through youth and adult clinics, national training camps, private lessons, and as a full-time head coach.
With a deep background in competition—from youth locals to multiple World Cup golds—Alex offers advanced strategies, movement analysis, mindset training, and instruction on a broad range of climbing techniques. Her extensive experience ensures athletes receive a holistic approach to both physical and mental preparation.
Outside, Alex has sent boulders up to V14 and routes up to 5.14, gaining expertise in outdoor projecting, accessing flow states, and refining subtle rock movements to maximize effort.
Alex has worked with climbers of all ages (10 to 40+) and abilities—from Youth National Champions and World Cup competitors to Olympians and weekend warriors pursuing outdoor projects. Whether you’re aiming for Nationals, trying to break through a plateau, or pushing your limits outdoors, Alex’s combination of experience, insight, and personal connection will help you reach your full potential.
The mission of DELPHI is to provide high-quality, one-on-one coaching that mentors, instructs, and inspires. Through developing deep, long-term relationships, Alex tailors her coaching to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each athlete.
Because of the highly personalized nature of this coaching, spots in recurring monthly programs are limited and athletes are selected carefully.
Individual training plans and virtual sessions are also available, open to climbers of any age or ability.
